Sources Searched
A wide range of sources have been searched to identify relevant papers for inclusion in the RURU database. Both sector-specific and general electronic databases have been searched. General search terms relating to research utilisation were used for all database searches. Searches aimed to be as comprehensive as possible, but the research utilisation field is on the whole poorly indexed and difficult to search.
Other sources searched include:
• A wide range of web sites of key organisations and local and national government, together with onward links
• Reference lists of key papers
• Alerting services
• Personal contacts.
